The former Chelsea star had words of advice for the Tottenham Hotspur ace.

When writing his regular column for the Evening Standard, Premier League legend Frank Lampard delivered his verdict on Spurs ace Dele Alli, highlighting the need for the youngster to eliminate the ‘silly stuff’ from his game, if he is to reach the top.
The 21-year-old hasn’t been himself so far this season, registering just three goals and an assist in 10 Premier League outings, and he is still yet to play a Champions League game this term, having served a three match suspension for his sending off in the Europa League last season.
Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping that the former MK Dons man can return to his scintillating best sooner rather than later, preferably tonight when his side welcome Real Madrid to Wembley in the Champions League.

And Lampard, who scored 177 Premier League goals during his illustrious career, explained how Dele needs to avoid getting involved in any kind of on-field trouble, if he is to enjoy a successful career within the game, when writing his regular column for the Evening Standard:
“Everyone knows that Dele has an edge to his game. He will be aware that people are writing and talking about it. I don’t mind the odd strong tackle here and there but he needs to stay out of trouble when it comes to the silly stuff. I don’t agree with those who say he needs to play on the edge to be at his best – you can give everything but still control yourself.”

The Tottenham youngster undoubtedly receives unfair treatment from opposition players, who are well-aware of his combustable temperament, and he must learn to avoid all types of confrontation.
If he is able to do this, he will surely go on to hit the heights that Lampard did throughout his long career in the game.
