Onyekuru lines up for Anderlecht
Henry Onyekuru will not be returning to Goodison Park in January, according to his representative, who told OwnGoalNigeria.com that there is no break clause inserted into the 20-year-old’s loan deal with Belgian side Anderlecht.
Everton signed the Nigerian forward from KAS Eupen in the summer, for a fee believed to be in the region of £7 million, but Ronald Koeman immediately decided to farm him out on loan, in the hope that he would benefit from more regular first-team action.

With the Blues currently struggling in the Premier League, however, and a serious lack of a cutting edge in the final third, there were rumours that the Dutchman would attempt to recall Onyekuru from his loan spell away from the club.
The 20-year-old’s spokesman has quashed that speculation though, with recent comments he made to OwnGoalNigeria.com, explaining how the original plan for Onyekuru to spend the entire season on loan in Belgium has not changed:
“It’s unfortunate that he can’t join Everton until the summer, as there is no break clause in his loan deal and aside from that he has not qualified for a work permit yet. The plan for now is still the same like in the summer, which is spend a season on loan before returning back to Everton next summer to fight for a shirt in the team.”

The Nigerian striker has been in superb form in the Jupiler League, scoring six goals in nine league outings for Anderlecht thus far, and Koeman will be ruing his decision to sanction his temporary exit from the club in the summer.
