Chelsea defender John Terry grew up as a Celtic fan, while his brother supported Ibrox outfit Rangers.

John Terry has been at Chelsea his entire professional club career, and it is hard to imagine him playing for another English club.

Having been synonymous with Chelsea for almost 20 years, it is tough to envisage him wearing the shirt of another Premier League team.

Perhaps the former England international centre-back will move to China, or maybe the 36-year-old will decide to join a club in Major League Soccer after he leaves Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Or maybe, just maybe, Terry could be tempted to move to Scotland and play for Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

True, wages could be a problem and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers may not fancy the defender because of his age, but it would certainly be a blockbuster signing for the Glasgow giants.

What if Celtic make a move for Terry? Would the Chelsea star be interested? Maybe, if comments from the Englishman from 2013 are anything to go by.

Back in September 2013, Terry revealed to Celtic’s official website that he is a fan of the Hoops.

“My brother and I decided that we would choose an English team and a Scottish team each,” Terry told Celtic’s official website when asked about his connection with the club.

“I chose Chelsea and Celtic and my brother went for Rangers which meant we had plenty of rivalry growing up.”

Rangers fans have already made it clear on social networking site Twitter that they would like Terry to move to Ibrox, as reported here on HITC (click here to read more).

Former Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram has also suggested on Twitter that the Ibrox outfit should make a move for the 36-year-old.

Rangers supporters and Goram may want Terry at Ibrox, but the defender is a Celtic fan.
