With Chelsea legend John Terry considering his next and perhaps only move in football, could a switch north of the border be on his radar?

Terry will leave Chelsea when his contract expires at the end of the season, The BBC reported, and a scramble for his signature should ensue.

12 months ago Glasgow Rangers legend Andy Goram took to Twitter to urge the club to try and sign Terry.

He stayed at Chelsea where he has played just five league games, with Rangers moving for Clint Hill instead.

Now there is an opportunity for Rangers to take another look if they wish.

The big problem would be wages. Terry would have to take a substantial drop in order to sign a deal at Ibrox.

Where they may stand a chance is if he wants to remain in the UK rather than an empty shell of a league like China, while also insisting on not signing for another English club and wishing to extend his career.

Terry could be an ideal fit for new manager Pedro Caixinha’s desire to bring in aggressive players, with the centre-back’s no nonsense approach ideally suited to such demands.
