Alfonso Pedraza made his full debut for Leeds United in their 2-0 home defeat to Cardiff City on Saturday.
Neil Redfearn has told Radio Yorkshire that although he saw glimpses of quality from Alfonso Pedraza on his full Leeds debut, he believes that he still needs to settle in at Elland Road.
Pedraza was rewarded for a bright cameo in last weekend’s defeat to Huddersfield by being handed his first start for the club since his arrival on loan in January for the Whites’ home clash with Cardiff City.

Much like the rest of the Leeds team, Pedraza arguably looked bright early on against the Bluebirds before tailing off as the game wore on.
The Spaniard made a couple of bright runs but nothing came of the openings he created, and Redfearn suggested that there was plenty to work on.
“It’s going to take him a little bit of time to adjust I think,” he told Radio Yorkshire.

“He got caught coming infield quite a bit and Leeds lacked a bit of width on that side where he was but he showed little glimpses of what he can do. But I think he needs to find his feet a little bit.”
What will encourage Garry Monk and the Leeds supporters is the skill that Pedraza showed when he was running with the ball.
He caused the kind of problems that Pablo Hernandez often causes for opposition defences, and if he can improve his decision making – he seemed to make the wrong call when he got into advanced positions – then perhaps he can prove to be as influential in the coming months as his countryman has often been this season.
