Hammers midfielder Pedro Obiang spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and declared his desire to score more goals, after opening his account for the club against Southampton last weekend, and highlighted the positive vibes currently emanating from the London Stadium.

Slaven Bilic has managed to guide his side away from any kind of relegation trouble over this past month or so, and West Ham now sit in ninth position in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of seventh placed Everton.
They have won six of their last nine league games, and Obiang has been a major driving force behind their recent resurgence.

The Spaniard spoke to WHUFC.com about his side’s impressive turnaround, and highlighted his ambition to score more goals for the club:
“I have many plans and after my first goal I start to dream! I am really happy because although I started on the bench, I then managed to play a number of games and things have only improved for me this season. I need to continue like this. This is a very important week as we want to take another three points before we have a little break. We have a great dressing room and all the new players are made to feel welcome so it is a good atmosphere.”

The 24-year-old’s game is centred more around his positional discipline, rather than getting forward in attacking areas, but if he manages to add some goals to his game, the Hammers could have a seriously good player on their hands.
