Glasgow Rangers and Mark Warburton have parted company, and former Nottingham Forest striker Stan Collymore comments.

According to Rangers’ official website, Mark Warburton is no longer the club’s manager. Earlier this evening, the Glasgow giants released a statement revealing that Warburton has resigned from his position.

The statement also disclosed that along with Warburton, assistant manager David Weir and the club’s head of recruitment Frank McParland have also stepped down from their respective roles. The trio handed in their resignations which were subsequently accepted, according to the statement.

BBC Sport journalist Chris McLaughlin’s post on social networking site Twitter, though, seems to suggest otherwise. It seems that Warburton is unaware of any statement from the Gers regarding his position at the club.
