Alli has shown leadership qualities on the pitch, and if he continues to progress the way he has done over the past two or so years, then it is only a matter of time before he is made the Tottenham captain.
France international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is the current Spurs captain, but he is 30 years of age. Lloris cannot play on forever, and there will come a time when the North London outfit will be looking for a new skipper.
