Leeds are currently sitting in fifth position in the Championship table, having taken 54 points from their 30 league outings.

And the likelihood of them finishing inside the play-off spots is a strong one, with seven pints separating them from both second placed Brighton & Hove Albion and seventh placed Norwich City.

And Monk responded when he was asked by reporters if he has set his side any kind of specific points target for the remainder of their campaign, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“There’s no points target to reach the play-offs. We haven’t got our calculator out yet. With 6/7 games to go we can maybe think about that.”

There is no denying that if Leeds are to make a sustained push for the automatic promotion spots, they will have to string together a lengthy run of victories, which is not easy feat in a division as physically demanding as the Championship.
