Glasgow Rangers chairman Dave King is like the Venky’s at Blackburn Rovers, says Chris Sutton.
Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has written in The Daily Record that Rangers chairman Dave King is like the Venky’s at Blackburn Rovers.
Sutton has claimed that Rangers chairman King does not seem to be interested and has criticised him for not going to matches.
Chris Sutton names Rangers’ two best players this season
The Englishman has compared King to the Venky’s at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship in England.

“King to me just doesn’t look interested,” Sutton wrote in The Daily Record. “He doesn’t go to games, he pops over now and again and has little to say about the situation.
“He’s like the Venkys at Blackburn – an absentee landlord either unable or unwilling to get involved.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton comments on Ibrox fans
“Supporters are right to question his involvement just as they are correct to criticise the manager.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 43 points from 24 matches.
Mark Warburton’s side are currently 27 points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic and level on points with second-placed Aberdeen, who have played a fewer game.
The Gers will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Greenock Morton at Ibrox in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Rangers have a decent squad, and they are very much in the running for the runners-up spot in the league table.
Winning the Scottish Premiership title this season was always going to be tough, but finishing second behind Celtic should be deemed a success given that this is the first season back in the top flight for the Gers.
