We take a closer look at some of Tottenham Hotspur’s brightest prospects.

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of exciting teenagers coming through the ranks, but their fans will be well aware that only the best of the best ultimately become first-team regulars.

Here we take a look at three Tottenham youngsters who should be starting week in, week out by 2020 if they continue on their current trajectory.

Tottenham's Marcus Edwards in action against Alex Sandro of Juventus

Marcus Edwards

The most obvious suggestion first, 18-year-old Marcus Edwards has been tipped for superstardom for years now and it is only a matter of time before he finally earns his manager’s faith.

Next season should see the attacking midfielder get more chances and by 2020 he should be bossing opponents 10 years his senior.

Tottenham's Cameron Carter-Vickers in action with Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Another player who is starting to make the breakthrough but has a challenge to usurp more experienced teammates, centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers is tipped to go to the very top of the game.

By 2020 Jan Vertonghen will be reaching the twilight of his career and the young American will be primed to step in.

Kyle Walker-Peters

A potential wild card on this list, right-back Kyle Walker-Peters faces a fight to get anywhere near the first-team in the short term.

However, by 2020 Kyle Walker will be pushing 30 and his (almost) namesake could step in to feature regularly both on the right side and on the opposite flank if required.
