Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers are struggling to keep up with Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Celtic are head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the Scottish Premiership, and Rangers defender James Tavernier has showered praise on the Bhoys, as quoted by The Daily Mail.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are going strong in the Scottish Premiership, and it would be one of the biggest shocks in Scottish football if they fail to win the league title this season.
A clear signal… Former Celtic manager’s verdict on Moussa Dembele situation
The Hoops have yet to lose a league match, having won all but one but of their 23 Scottish Premiership fixtures so far this campaign.
Rangers are fighting for second place this campaign. The Gers won automatic promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of last season and were expected to push Celtic for the title.
Kris Boyd has warning for one Celtic player
Defender Tavernier, who is 25 years of age, has praised Celtic for their unbeaten run in the league, and believes that they would get more recognition for their achievement if they were playing in the Premier League.

“Any team in any league like Celtic who have only dropped two points halfway through the season – that’s been a good run,” the right-back told The Daily Mail.
“If Chelsea had done that in the Premier League, people would say: ‘Hats off to them, they’ve done a good job’.”

Celtic and Rangers are fierce rivals, but it is good to see Tavernier make some positive comments about the Bhoys.
Mark Warburton’s side need to use the Hoops’ current run as inspiration and try harder to close the gap between themselves and the league leaders.
