Leeds United lost 2-1 at Huddersfield Town this afternoon.
Leeds United lost to West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town this afternoon, as Michael Hefele’s late winner handed the hosts all three points.
The Whites went into the game having beaten Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in midweek, and with Huddersfield beating Brighton 3-1 on Thursday, it promised to be a fierce battle between two rivals both bidding for promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds and Huddersfield players clash
The end of the game saw managers Garry Monk and David Wagner clash on the sidelines, leading to both men being sent off, but also saw winger Alfonso Pedraza make his debut for Leeds, having joined on deadline day.
Pedraza, 20, joined Leeds on loan from Villarreal on Tuesday having cut his loan deal with Lugo short, and he came on as a second half substitute for Leeds as they chased the game, with Pedraza testing goalkeeper Danny Ward with a strike from outside the box.
During and after the game, Leeds fans took to Twitter to discuss Pedraza’s performance, with many suggesting that they were impressed with his cameo display, especially in such a highly-charged encounter.
