West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang is better than Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool stars in key area.
The Spaniard has been one of West Ham’s best and most consistent players this season.
And despite playing in the heart of midfield for a side battling it out in midtable, Obiang is the Premier League’s best when it comes to the art of tackling.
New statistics show the former Sampdoria midfielder is way out in front when it comes to getting the ball back for his team, beating the likes of Spurs’ Victor Wanyama, Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson and West Bromwich Albion’s Claudio Yacob in the process.

The stat was proudly posted out on West Ham’s official Twitter account but ironically the midfielder actually had his worst game of the season in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out.
He will be hoping to get back to his best for the trip to Southampton today as he has emerged as a key player for Slaven Bilic’s side this season.
Obiang was linked with a move away in the summer after being sparingly used by Bilic last season.
But he remained at the club and despite starting the season on the fringes of the team has earned his place in the side and proved his worth.
