West Ham United co-owner David Gold has been lambasted on Twitter after making a statement over transfers.
Some West Ham United fans are not happy with the transfer business conducted by the club in the last few windows.
Gold and fellow co-owner David Sullivan were full of promises to fans ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium last summer.
A torrid first half of the season has improved of late with the Hammers now sat in 11th place off the back of five wins from the last eight league games.
But a forgettable six months has culminated in Slaven Bilic losing wantaway superstar Dimitri Payet.

A terrible summer of transfer business has left supporters disgruntled over what they feel are broken promises when it comes to West Ham’s dealings in the transfer market.
Promises were made over big money, marquee signings as the East Londoners relocated to Stratford in the summer.

Indeed the ability to compete with the Premier League elite as a result of the stadium move was held up as a carrot to fans dubious over the decision to leave the club’s famous Boleyn Ground home of 112 years.
Instead Bilic’s squad was diluted by a glut of poor quality loans or free transfer signings in the summer. And having lost Payet this month, only Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte have come in with most fans feeling the club needed at least another striker and a right back.
So when Gold took to Twitter to boast about the club’s recruitment, supporters were not impressed.
“West Ham fourth biggest spenders in the January window behind Crystal Palace, Everton and Leicester,” Gold said.
And he was instantly jumped on by Hammers fans on the social networking site.
