Pontus Jansson has agreed a permanent move to Leeds United.
Leeds United fans have been celebrating on Twitter after the club confirmed on their official website that Pontus Jansson will become a permanent member of Garry Monk’s squad in the summer.

Jansson has arguably been the Whites’ player of the season so far, and there was understandably some apprehension about the Championship side’s chances of converting his loan into a permanent move before the end of the season, especially as his form would have most definitely not gone under the radar.

And while that apprehension may have increased slightly with the January window passing without any concrete updates on the defender’s future, those concerns can be put to bed after the club confirmed that he will join from Torino when his loan deal comes to an end at the end of the campaign.
And it appears that he is set to be a key part of Monk’s side for several years to come with the club’s official website confirming that he has signed a three-year contract at Elland Road.
Unsurprisingly, the news has received a hugely positive reaction on social media just 24 hours after Jansson had given Leeds fans plenty to celebrate by scoring a dramatic late winner in the victory over Blackburn.
