Ambrose is out of favour under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and could move to England’s Championship, with Blackburn Rovers and now Nottingham Forest said to be keen.
Nottingham Forest are rivalling Blackburn Rovers to the signing of Celtic outcast Efe Ambrose, according to the Daily Mail.
Ambrose has featured just twice for the Bhoys under Brendan Rodgers, and is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday morning that Blackburn were the favourites to land the Nigerian on loan, however, it is now being claimed that Forest also want in.

Forest, at one stage, looked to have secured the services of West Ham United defender Reece Oxford on a temporary basis, although the teenager is now thought to be Reading bound instead.

And it looks as though Forest have moved quickly onto alternative targets, with Ambrose fitting the bill.
The 28-year-old is vastly experienced, having played 169 times for Celtic, and helping the Bhoys to league titles in each of his four full campaigns in Glasgow.

Celtic may be wary of allowing Ambrose to leave, however, amid reports that at a number of English top flight clubs are circling around centre-back pair Jozo Simunovic and Erik Sviatchenko.
