Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko is reportedly wanted by Leicester City.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko is set to hold talks over his future today amid interest from Premier League champions Leicester City.
Sviatchenko, 25, joined Celtic from Midtjylland in his native Denmark last January, and has been a key player for the club ever since, having featured prominently under both Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers.

The Scottish Sun report that Leicester City want to sign Sviatchenko, and on the final day of the January transfer window, there are questions being asked about Sviatchenko’s future in Glasgow.

It’s claimed that Sviatchenko’s agent Allan Bak Jensen has travelled to Glasgow in order to hold talks with Celtic today about the player’s future, with Leicester possibly preparing a last-gasp bid to sign the defender.
Claudio Ranieri’s first-choice pairing of Wes Morgan and Robert Huth have looked creaky this season, and adding a younger centre back should be a priority, with Sviatchenko a smart target having played with goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for Denmark.
Celtic boss Rodgers does have other defenders at his disposal in Jozo Simunovic, Kolo Toure and the back in favour Dedryck Boyata, but selling Sviatchenko after just 12 months with the club would be a major surprise from the Bhoys.

Jensen could simply be using Leicester’s interest to try and negotiate a new deal for his client, but with just hours of the transfer window left, Celtic fans may be sweating over the centre back’s future.
