Birmingham City have entered the race to sign Watford striker Jerome Sinclair on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Now Birmingham have thrown their hat into the ring for the 20-year-old as Gianfranco Zola looks to add to his attacking options at St Andrew's.
Zola has yet to win a game as Birmingham boss and he sees Sinclair as someone who can fire the goals to get the club's season back on track.
Sinclair joined Watford in the summer after running down his contract at Liverpool.
The highly-rated striker has made seven appearances for Watford this season, including starting in Sunday's FA Cup defeat to Millwall.
Sinclair scored his first goal for the club with a superb solo effort in the FA Cup third round win over Burton Albion, but now Watford are out of the competition his first-team chances look limited under Walter Mazzarri.
Watford are happy to loan out Sinclair after bringing in M'Baye Niang from AC Milan earlier this month and the club will decide which is Sinclair's best option.
