HITC Sport understands Aston Villa have two bids rejected for the defender.

Aston Villa have seen two bids rejected for Bury's highly-rated teenage defender Jacob Bedeau, but are expected to come back with a new offer for the player, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Bedeau has been earning rave reviews since breaking into the Bury team in November.

Bedeau moved to Bury last summer after he was released by Leyton Orient and he has established himself as one of the best young talents in the Football League.

The 17-year-old has made seven appearances for the League One club and his performances have brought him to the attention of several Premier League and Championship clubs.

Scouts have been flocking to Gigg Lane to cast an eye over Bedeau and it seems likely the player will move on before the close of the transfer window.

Villa have been keen to beat their rivals to the signing of Bedeau, but they have seen their first two offers for the centre-back rejected by Bury.

Bury are resigned to losing Bedeau, but they are holding out for the highest price they can get for the teenager.

Villa are expected to come back with an improved offer for Bedeau before next week's transfer deadline and Steve Bruce's side remain hopeful of landing the defender.
