Emmanuel Petit has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have always been a ‘nightmare’ for Arsenal.

The Arsenal legend added that whenever the attacking duo play against the Gunners, they always seem to have ‘fun’.

Well, whilst Kane added to his goal tally in the north London derby yesterday, he and Son didn’t enjoy the rest of the afternoon on Arsenal soil.

Antonio Conte’s men fell to a 3-1 defeat, with Kane equalising from the penalty spot in the first half, before the home side ran away with proceedings in the second.

Kane now has 14 goals in the history of this famous rivalry from the capital, but he would have certainly been happy to take a few goals off if it meant taking the three points yesterday.

Nonetheless, when former France midfielder Petit was talking about Kane and Son’s previous history in this rivalry, he shared the trouble they have caused the Gunners over the years, as he told Premier League Productions.

“They are a nightmare for the Gunners,” said Petit. “Both of them have been a nightmare for Arsenal’s defence (over the years).

“They are having fun all the time when they play against the Gunners.”

DAY TO FORGET FOR TOTTENHAM

Whilst Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have caused problems for Arsenal previously, they weren’t able to cause many issues in the north London derby.

Tottenham fans would have been annoyed with their team not being aggressive enough without the ball and not trying to win the ball higher up.

It’s well known that Spurs can eat you apart on the counter, but their lack of bite without it was costly, as proved to be the case for Thomas Partey’s opening goal.

That word ‘Plan B’ was thrown about regarding Antonio Conte’s methods yesterday, but in the end, it was a day to forget and, just like last season, they can still have the last laugh in May.
