Arsenal’s Head of Emerging Talent Yousuf Sajjad has tipped Swedish striker Nikolaj Moller to go straight to the top after joining Arsenal in 2020.

Speaking to Football London, the Arsenal youth chief claimed that the teenager attacker has ‘elite potential’, with Moller currently spending the season out on loan with third-tier German side Viktoria Koln.

The forward joined Arsenal last year from Malmo, and Moller had a productive first year in England. The youngster bagged seven goals and three assists in Premier League 2, with the striker’s form winning him a loan move for this season.

Indeed, whilst Moller is yet to get going in the senior game, with the attacker yet to score for Viktoria this season, the striker is still highly regarded at Arsenal, and Sajjad is a big fan of the Swedish youth international.

The Arsenal youth talent spotter said: “All of the boys that have come in, show champion mentality as that is a pre-requisite to any player we look to sign.

“From the lads above to Nikolaj Moller who is an unbelievable human being as well as being a player with elite potential.”

Moller needs more time to show Arsenal his qualities

Moller was part of a youth revelation at Arsenal in 2020 which saw the U-23 side sign multiple youth players. And whilst the forward impressed in Premier League 2, the striker still needs more time to show the Gunners his quality at senior level.

After all, the attacker is yet to score a professional goal. And 2022 will be a big year for the development of Moller, who could become a regular for Arsenal if he begins to find his feet in the big leagues.
