Arsenal are in a state at the moment.
There are no two ways about it, the Gunners are bottom of the league, yet to score a goal and yet to earn a single point.
The north London outfit have really struggled over the past 12 months, and while you can’t blame any one individual, there are areas of the club that are easy to criticise.
The manager is of course an easy target, but the recruitment has also been rather dodgy, and 12 months on, we have to say that they’ve made an absolute howler of an error.
Cast your mind back to the end of the 2020 Summer transfer window, Arsenal were scrambling for a new midfielder and they were going through a number of targets.
Eventually, they settled on Thomas Partey, who has been very hit and miss so far with the Gunners, with one pundit even labelling him as the worst signing of the season last term.

However, things could have turned out so differently, and we can only imagine that Edu is having sleepless nights about one player.
Of course, we’re talking about Jorginho.
The Gunners were in for the Italian this time last year, and the Chelsea midfielder even admitted that he was open to a move across London.
Well, it’s fair to say that Arsenal made the wrong decision in this case.
Now, we’re not saying that Partey is a bad player, but Jorginho has just been voted as the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year after an incredible 12 months, and it’s hard to make an argument for Partey being the better choice.
Things may have been so different for Arsenal if they signed the ‘phenomenon‘ instead of Partey this time last year.
