Arsenal Technical Director Edu has raved about Aaron Ramsdale on Sky Sports.
Edu has said that goalkeeper Ramsdale is a very good footballer and has the potential to be a big player for the team.
However, the Arsenal official has suggested that the 23-year-old, signed from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window, will explode not now but in the future.
Edu told Sky Sports: “Aaron Ramsdale, for example, he is a very good football player and has the potential to be a big part of the team in the future.”
Bernd Leno successor?
Bernd Leno is the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal at the moment, and it is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Of course, Ramsdale is still going to get games, especially in the cup competitions, but until and unless Leno goes through a bad spell, it is likely that the Germany international goalkeeper will not lose his place in the starting lineup this season.
However, Ramsdale could become the first-choice goalkeeper next season.

Why?
Well, because Leno is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, and there is already speculation that defending Italian champions Inter Milan want to sign him on a free transfer next summer..
For now, Ramsdale needs to work hard in training and really push Leno.
Who knows, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could well make the youngster his number one goalkeeper in the coming weeks and months.
