Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe remains keen on Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, but the Magpies have him as the second choice behind Brighton and Hove Albion star Leandro Trossard, according to TEAMtalk.
Newcastle United linked with Leeds United winger Jack Harrison
The report has claimed that Newcastle are keen on signing Trossard from Brighton either in the January transfer window or next summer.
Brighton intend to take up the option to trigger a one-year contract extension and keep Trossard at the club beyond the end of the season.
Newcastle head coach Howe admires the 27-year-old Belgium international winger, according to TEAMtalk, who have added that the Magpies would move for him first but have Harrison on their radar as a back-up.

The Magpies were reportedly interested in the £60,000-a-week (SalarySport) former Manchester City prospect in the summer of 2022.
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Newcastle United could be able to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison next summer.
Newcastle are doing extremely well at the moment and could end up in the Premier League top four this season.
If that happens, then it is really hard to see Harrison not be tempted by a move to St. James’ Park.
