Lamela made only his second start of the campaign as Tottenham Hotspur overcame Swansea City on Tuesday.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela made only his second start of the season in Tuesday’s 2-0 win at Swansea City.
The attacking midfielder played 77 minutes at the Liberty Stadium, where goals from Fernando Llorente – against the club he left in August – and Dele Alli secured all three points for Tottenham.
But how did Lamela get on? Spurs fans cannot seem to decide.
So let’s start with the positives…
Now here’s the negatives…
Lamela’s inclusion was championed by a number of Tottenham supporters in the lead up to Tuesday’s trip to Swansea, with the Argentine used sparingly since his return from injury at the end of November.
Lamela – who scored 11 goals and made another 10 throughout 2015-16 – was sidelined for 13 months in total.

Tottenham’s win moves them back above Arsenal, who play third-placed Chelsea on Wednesday evening, into fifth position.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s team have a game in hand on both the Gunners and Liverpool, who sit a place and four points above them.
