Newcastle United should offload Rolando Aarons following the reportedly imminent arrival of Kenedy on loan.

Chelsea winger Kenedy is set to undergo a medical on Tuesday ahead of a switch to St James’ Park, according to Sky Sports.

Kenedy looks likely to return to the Magpies after dazzling on loan last term and he will surely be a permanent feature in Rafael Benitez’s XI on the left flank.

However, his arrival would be bad news for academy graduate Aarons and push him even further down the pecking order at the North East club.

The 22-year-old attacker also plays on the left wing and is still miles off the level required to cement a permanent spot in the Newcastle side.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror’s live transfer blog (27/06: 15:02) West Bromwich Albion are considering a move for Aarons this summer.

The Newcastle youngster failed to make the most of a loan switch to Italian club Hellas Verona last season and perhaps a loan in the Championship could be the best for his career.

The tricky winger is still yet to make a serious impact at first-team level and his days at Newcastle look numbered.
