Draymond Green has admitted to trying to convince LeBron James to join the Golden State Warriors in free agency.
James became a free agent this summer following his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers after eight seasons.
The 41-year-old is expected to join the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Philadelphia 76ers, or the Miami Heat in the coming weeks.
However, the Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves are also reportedly on James’ free agency shortlist.
As one of James’ closest friends in the NBA, Green has already pitched the idea of moving to Golden State to LeBron.

What Draymond Green said about pitch for LeBron James to join Warriors
Not only is James friends with Green, but he also has an excellent relationship with Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
Having once had a bitter rivalry, James and Curry have built a strong relationship from playing together at the Olympics.
James has previously spoken about wanting to be Curry’s teammate in the NBA, as their games perfectly suit each other.
This led many to believe he was headed to Golden State before reports emerged that the Cavaliers were his preferred team.
However, Green has not given up hope that the Warriors will sign James, as they recently discussed the idea while playing golf.
“I’d be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to throw my pitch in there,” Green said on his podcast.
“I’d be crazy if we’re together for x amount of days and at no point am I like ‘yo, we need to chop it up, what the hell is going on? What are we doing?’
“Of course I did that, and of course the pitch was crazy… with the things I shared in it, it’s definitely gonna make the brain work a little bit… but we weren’t going to hang out for a recruitment pitch.”
Green is also a free agent after rejecting his $27.7 million player option, but he is fully expected to re-sign with the Warriors.
