Tottenham attacker Troy Parrott is reportedly close to joining MK Dons on loan for the season.

According to the Daily Mail, the League One side will sign the Republic of Ireland striker. Parrott had two loan spells last campaign in both the Championship and the third-tier.

The teenager has struggled to adjust to senior football following his loan spells away from Tottenham last season.

The striker scored just two goals in all competitions for both Millwall and Ipswich Town.

Yet a move to MK Dons might be beneficial for Parrott. The club have an impressive record with developing youth players, and the Spurs star could settle with the League One side.

Moreover, Parrott has seemingly been overtaken in the striker hierarchy by Dane Scarlett, who this summer has been in scintillating form for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Yet despite having a lot of potential, some Tottenham fans are eager for the club to just sell Parrott this summer rather than loan him out for another year.

The striker faltered last campaign and is yet to score a goal for the Spurs first-team. And fans believe the club could make a quick pay-day by selling the Irish striker.

Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about Parrott heading out on loan to MK Dons next season…
