Tottenham prospect Dane Scarlett was back amongst the goals this week as the teenager bagged a brace for England’s U-19 side against Belgium.
The highly-rated Spurs talent bagged a brace for the Three Lions in their 3-2 loss to Belgium. Scarlett now has four goals in five appearances for England at U-19 level.
Whilst England lost the match, it was an overall impressive performance for Scarlett. And with Harry Kane having one of his worst international games to date later that evening against Hungary, it was a telling sign for the Tottenham attackers.
Indeed, Kane’s overall form this season has been something of a concern. The striker is yet to score in the Premier League, with his only goals coming in the League Cup and the UEFA Europa Conference League.
As for Scarlett, the England talent is yet to score a senior goal for Spurs. However, this is largely due to a lack of regular minutes under Nuno Espirito Santo.
And with the teenager only beginning his football career, there will be chances for Scarlett to impress for Spurs. After all, the attacker is flourishing for England.
