Gianni Infantino and Donald Trump’s relationship has been subject to a great deal of scrutiny, and the US President’s latest financial disclosure reveals some more perks.
Trump was instrumental in helping the United States, Canada, and Mexico land the rights to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup during his first term as President.
And over the last few months, the dealings between him and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have caused a great deal of speculation.

Donald Trump awarded $15,000 worth of FIFA Club World Cup tickets by Gianni Infantino
According to CNBC, Donald Trump’s annual financial disclosure revealed some interesting details about his dealings with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Last year, when the FIFA Club World Cup was held in the United States, Infantino reportedly delivered 10 tickets to the CWC Final at MetLife Stadium.
Each ticket was valued at $1500, thus bringing the total value of the gift to $15,000. One can imagine this enticed Trump to participate in the award ceremony at the event.
Chelsea were the winners of the tournament, and fans will remember that Donald Trump handed the players their trophy and celebrated with them in the moment.
It looks like history will repeat itself this year, as Donald Trump is set to award the winning team of the FIFA World Cup the trophy.
FIFA not the only sporting organization to give Donald Trump gifts
Trump’s financial disclosure showed that he received multiple gifts in the form of sporting tickets from various events and organizations.
The 45th and 47th President of the United States received 10 tickets to this year’s Super Bowl valued at $50,000, 10 U.S. Open tickets worth $25,000, and tickets to the Ryder Cup worth $11,250.
There is no word or proof that any of these gifts were given to Trump with the intention of bringing about policy changes of any kind.
Infantino’s gifts to Trump have been revealed at an unfortunate time, given that he and FIFA are under investigation for handing Trump the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize this past year.
Members of the European Parliament demanded that FIFA address the ethics complaint regarding Infantino’s decision to award Trump.
As this investigation pans out, Donald Trump’s presence (or continued absence for now) will continue to be a talking point among fans of the FIFA World Cup.
