The World Cup final between Spain and Argentina was the hottest ticket in America on Sunday night as the world’s biggest sporting tournament came to an end at the MetLife Stadium in front of a long list of A-list celebrities.
Donald Trump, Tom Cruise, Kylie Jenner and Will Ferrell were among the stars watching on as Spain became world champions through a Ferran Torres winner in extra-time.

FIFA World Cup closing ceremony
The closing ceremony for the FIFA World Cup began with Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson’s rendition of the United States’ national anthem.
President of the United States Donald Trump was shown on the big screen alongside his wife Melania Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino. His daughter Ivanka Trump was also in attendance. Robbie Williams was then accompanied by Nicole Scherzinger as the F15S flew over the MetLife Stadium.
The World Cup trophy came, carried out by Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet, who attended the game with Kylie Jenner.
It was then held aloft by Andres Iniesta and Mario Kempes.
As well as Post Malone and Swae Lee, IShowSpeed performed his viral song Champions and was spotted mixing with celebrities throughout the game including Mike Tyson and Machine Gun Kelly.
Tom Cruise then made an emotional speech before kick-off; those of us expecting him to fly in on a parachute were left disappointed.
FIFA World Cup Final half-time show
The World Cup final’s half-time show was star-studded, to say the least. The show was co-headlined by Madonna, Shakira, BTS and Justin Bieber
The show also featured Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS 22 Chorus as well as Coldplay.
Other big names spotted at World Cup final
Matt Damon was spotted in the stands, as was Trevor Noah, who made his allegiances known wearing a Spain shirt.
Mick Jagger, Adrian Brody, Donovan Mitchell and JJ Watt were spotted alongside tennis star Carlos Alcaraz and pop star Pharrell Williams.
David Beckham, Victoria Beckham and family were spotted sitting with good friends, the Cruises.
Asap Rocky was spotted alongside Rihanna on the big screen while the “Greek freak,” Miami Heat’s Giannis Antetokounmpo was also spotted by cameras in the stands.
