Colby Covington has cast doubt over his UFC future after missing out on the upcoming White House card.
The American has not fought since December 2024, when he suffered a defeat to Joaquin Buckley.
Still, many expected him to feature in UFC Freedom 250 due to his links with Donald Trump and his status as a former champion.
That omission has triggered a strong reaction, now raising questions about his next move in combat sports.
Colby Covington voices frustration and hints at UFC retirement

Covington has openly shown his disappointment with the promotion after being left off the card. He expressed regret over the saga and suggested he felt overlooked despite his profile and past achievements.
The card itself also drew criticism from him, with the 38-year-old describing it as underwhelming compared to expectations.
In that context, ‘Chaos’ has now suggested his focus has shifted away from the UFC.
“I’m all in on Real American Freestyle. I’ve invested my own hard-earned money into RAF. I wanna see this platform grow into the greatest combat sports league in the world. My first passion was wrestling, so I’m gonna get back to my roots,” he said after RAF07 (via Red Corner MMA).
“I did everything I needed to do in the UFC. I won a world championship. You know, I’m all on RAF, you’re going to see me very active here.”
Those comments raise questions about whether Covington’s fight against Buckley was his last in the UFC without anyone knowing.
Colby Covington targets Arman Tsarukyan as RAF future takes shape
Covington recently defeated Dillon Danis at RAF07, confirming a strong start after beating Luke Rockhold in his promotion debut.
Arman Tsarukyan also impressed on the same card, beating Georgio Poullas and emerging as a potential opponent.
Covington has now called him out, signalling interest in a high-profile clash within the new platform.
He has also mentioned Khamzat Chimaev as another name he would like to face in the future.
With his UFC future uncertain, Covington appears ready to build a new chapter outside the organisation.
