‘Doesn’t always happen’: Sutton’s ‘interesting’ observation on Arsenal fans

Chris Sutton has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:55pm, March 6, 2023) that he was impressed by Arsenal fans staying behind the team even when Mikel Arteta’s side were 2-0 down to Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium at one stage this past weekend.

Arsenal got the better of Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this past Saturday.

The Gunners were 2-0 down before the hour mark.

Arsenal conceded the first goal In North London inside the very first minute.

Arteta’s side were 2-0 behind on 57 minutes.

Arsenal then launched a strong comeback and eventually won the Premier League match 3-2.

Reiss Nelson scored the late winner.

Former Chelsea striker Sutton has noted that even when the team were 2-0 down, Arsenal fans were behind the players.

Sutton said: “The other thing which was really interesting, in this day and age it doesn’t always happen, they were 2-0 down against Bournemouth and the supporters really stuck with them and got behind them. They did not get nervous, that’s a massive positive.”

Sticking together

Arsenal fans have been brilliant throughout the season and are a big reason why the team are doing so well at the moment.

We can see a clear connection between the fansl and the players.

Yes, there have been disappointing performances this season, but you never hear the Arsenal fans complain like they used to in years gone by.

The Emirates Stadium faithful know that this is a very young team who will make mistakes.

However, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Arsenal fans are in love with their club and team now.
