Leeds United and Birmingham City are both chasing Bristol City defender Aden Flint.
Assistant manager Jamie McAllister has said that Aden Flint was taken out of Bristol City’s side for their League Cup match against Plymouth Argyle just prior to kick off yesterday.
Bristol City ran out 5-0 winners over Argyle, but Flint’s omission was an intriguing point about the game.
And McAllister suggested that Flint was in the Robins’ starting line-up, before he spoke to Johnson before the game.
Flint’s omission could have been for a multitude of reasons, but it is made all the more interesting due to speculation over the centre-back’s future.
And Flint’s omission could suggest that a move to Birmingham is now on the verge of completion.
The Daily Mirror have also claimed that Leeds United are interested in signing Flint this summer.
Leeds are on the look out for a new centre-back, but it appears that Thomas Christiansen may have to look elsewhere, with Birmingham still Flint’s most likely destination.
