HITC Sport understands Birmingham are confident of signing the Bristol City star.

Birmingham City are edging closer to the signing of Bristol City defender Aden Flint, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Birmingham boss Harry Redknapp admitted after Saturday’s opening day defeat to Ipswich that he was desperate to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer window and he has made Flint one of his top targets.
Birmingham made a double bid for Flint and Bristol City team-mate Joe Bryan earlier this month which was rejected by the Robins.
However, Birmingham have refused to concede defeat in their pursuit of Flint with Redknapp keen to pair him alongside Marc Roberts in a new-look backline at St Andrew’s.

Centre-back Flint has established himself as a key player at Bristol City since joining the club from Swindon in 2013.
Flint was named on the bench for Saturday’s Championship opener against Barnsley amid speculation over his future and Bristol City are now reluctantly ready to sell him for the right offer.
Talks have been continuing between both parties and it is understood the sticking point over the deal is the amount that Birmingham will pay up front for the giant central defender.
