Manchester United will reportedly be without Raphael Varane due to injury for their December clash against Arsenal.

According to the Mirror, the French defender could miss four weeks of football after suffering a hamstring problem in this week’s UEFA Champions League match against Atalanta.

As well as Arsenal, Varane is set to miss Premier League games against Manchester City and Chelsea due to injury. With United level on points with the Gunners, this could be massive heading into November.

The French international joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in the summer. However, Varane’s time with United has been plagued with injury. The defender had only just returned from a knock suffered with France in October.

With United taking on City this weekend whilst Arsenal host Watford, this weekend could be a decisive matchday for both sides in the Premier League. And Varane missing out through injury is big.

Moreover, with the two sides meeting at the start of December, Arsenal could well face United at Old Trafford with Varane still out on the injury table.
