Costel Pantilimon is coming in for criticism at Nottingham Forest, so is it about time Stefanos Kapino got his chance in the Championship?

Costel Pantilimon looked like the answer to Nottingham Forest’s goalkeeping problems when he arrived on loan from Watford on the final day of the January transfer window.
A month later, however, it seems that Pantilimon’s status has fallen among the Forest fans. Because some are now clamouring for Stefanos Kapino, the other goalkeeper Forest signed in January, to be given a chance to prove himself.

The East Midlands giants brought in the Greek international in early February after his contract was terminated at Olympiakos, who are also owned by Forest head honcho Evangelos Marinakis.
24-year-old Kapino has not made his debut for Forest yet, although it remains to be seen how much longer he will stay waiting in the wings with mistakes creeping into Pantilimon’s game of late.

The former Sunderland man has come in for criticism recently and possibly could have done better as Grant Ward’s effort evaded him in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Ipswich Town.
But will manager Aitor Karanka side with the fans and give Kapino a chance to prove himself now survival is assured? It would make sense to do so, considering Pantilimon is not guaranteed to stay past the summer.
