Andi Weimann looks set to leave Derby County and join Championship rivals Bristol City in the summer transfer window.

Andi Weimann is perhaps the prime example that sometimes blood, sweat and tears sometimes isn’t enough.
Even the Austrian’s harshest critic couldn’t question his commitment to the cause at Derby County. Weimann is an industrious and unselfish player willing to fill in in almost any position with minimum fuss and maximum effort.
On the other side of the coin, however, he is also a hugely frustrating player whose productivity leaves a lot to be desired. The 26-year-old former Aston Villa and Wolves man scored five goals and produced six assists in 42 Championship games last season, although not one of those appearances came in a central striking position.

And with Weimann seemingly on his way to Bristol City, the reaction among Derby fans appears to be one of ‘good riddance’.
Derby need to sell players in order to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions and £2 million for Weimann looks to be good business on paper. That’s what some of the fans think anyway.
