HITC Sport understands Derby forward is undergoing a medical at Bristol City.

Bristol City are poised to sign Derby County attacker Andreas Weimann with the Austrian currently undergoing a medical at the club, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Bristol City have identfied Weimann as one of their top targets this summer as Robins boss Lee Johnson sees his versatility as a key addition to his squad at Ashton Gate.
Bristol City have agreed a fee in the region of £2million with Derby for Weimann and the player has been given permission to travel to Bristol for talks and a medical.

Derby are willing to let Weimann move on as he was entering the final year of his contract at the iPro Stadium and his departure will help trim the wage bill at the club.
Weimann joined Derby from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015, but he has struggled to find his best form for the Rams.

The 26-year-old has scored just nine goals in 77 appearances for Derby and he had a spell out on loan at Wolves in January 2017.
Weimann’s impending move will come as a welcome boost to Bristol City having lost last season’s top scorer Bobby Reid’s to Cardiff City last week.
