Just four months after leaving Scottish Premiership giants Celtic, Liam Henderson could be on his way to Serie A.

When Brendan Rodgers was appointed as Celtic manager in 2016, it was not unreasonable to suggest that highly-rated young midfielder Liam Henderson would quickly become an integral part of his plans.
Henderson had been tipped for big things at Parkhead ever since making his debut as a 17 year old in 2013 and Rodgers was a manager renowned for putting his trust in young players. Instead, however, Henderson was barely given a chance under the Northern Irishman and, after just 11 league starts during Rodgers’ tenure, made an eye-catching move to Serie B outfit Bari in January.

Henderson has taken to Italian football like a duck to water.
And if he holds his own in Serie A, he could quickly become the biggest regret of Rodgers’ Celtic reign.
