Henry Onyekuru hasn’t made his Premier League debut yet for Marco Silva’s Everton but is shining in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray.

It hasn’t taken long for Henry Onyekuru to become a fans’ favourite at Galatasaray.

The Nigerian forward has made just two appearances for the Turkish Super Lig champions since his loan move from Everton, scoring the winner against Goztepe at the weekend. And Gala fans have taken to Twitter to express just how impressed they’ve been with the 21-year-old.

Though it’s not just the fans who have been enthralled by the former KAS Eupen starlet.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray want the option to sign Onyekuru on a permanent basis at the end of his loan loan spell. It is understood that there is no purchase option in the forward’s contract and Everton have told the Istanbul giants that they want at least £23 million.

Everton signed Onyekuru ahead of a vast number of European clubs in the summer of 2017, paying Eupen £7 million after a prolific breakthrough season in Belgium.

But Onyekuru, who idolises Thierry Henry, does not yet have a work permit allowing him to play in England. As a result, Everton were forced to loan him to Galatasaray after spending the 2017/18 season at Anderlecht.

It could be a big mistake if Everton were to sell a player this talented, however, before he has even worn that famous blue shirt.
