David Alaba and Samuel Umtiti won the Bundesliga and La Liga titles at Bayern Munich and Barcelona in 2018 but are they on their way to Arsenal?

Arsenal are mulling over deals for two of the worlds very best defenders this summer and the club are positive that David Alaba and Samuel Umtiti could both make stunning moves to The Emirates, as reported by the Independent.
Funds may be tight in North London, but head coach Unai Emery is still hoping to make some substantial signings, with five players reported to be on his wish list.
Among them are Bayern Munich’s long-serving left-back Alaba and Barcelona’s World Cup winning centre-half Umtiti.
The cynics may scoff at Arsenal’s chances of bringing the duo to The Emirates but, according to the Independent, there are real hopes inside the club that deals can be done.
Bayern are embarking on a huge summer overhaul in an attempt to refresh an ageing squad and the Independent suggests that Alaba, a seven-time Bundesliga champion and five-time Austrian Player of the Year, could be sacrificed.
Bayern signed a new left-back for £68 million this week, Lucas Hernandez arriving from Atletico Madrid.

Interestingly, Alaba confirmed earlier in March that he was an Arsenal fan growing up.
Umtiti could be allowed to leave by Barcelona, with the La Liga champions hoping to finance a deal for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Goal claimed on Thursday that he is valued at £60 million, which would make the Frenchman Arsenal’s record signing.
