Timothy Weah has scored three Scottish Premiership goals since joining on loan from Ligue 1 champions PSG.
Timothy Weah has admitted that Celtic will always have a special place in his heart as the PSG loanee nears the end of his impressive spell with the Glasgow giants, while speaking to Celtic View.
The 19-year-old followed in the footsteps of Odsonne Edouard when he joined the Scottish Premiership giants in the January transfer window and, although starts have been hard to come by, Weah has really stood out whenever he has entered the pitch.
So far, the USA wonder kid has scored four goals for Neil Lennon’s side, including a clinical header in a 2-0 win at St Mirren recently that puts Celtic on the verge of an eighth successive league crown.
And life in the green and white shirt has clearly made a lasting impression on Weah, even if he is not sure where his future lies.
“Celtic will forever be in my heart now,” said the New York-born striker told Celtic View (page 30).
“I love the fans here and no matter what the future holds for me, I want everyone involved with the club to know I love it here and I’m always going to watch Celtic.
“I’m always going to support the boys from afar. But in terms of the immediate future, Celtic is still an option that we have.
“It’s up to us as a family and it’s also my decision to tell them where I’m most comfortable and what we think is best for my future.”
Weah has been reluctant to rule out a return to Celtic, either on loan or on a permanent basis, telling the Daily Record last week that staying in Scotland was a ‘possibility’.
And Hoops fans have made it clear themselves that Weah would be welcomed with open arms if a longer term deal is indeed on the cards.
