Derby County reportedly want to sign Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer and James Morrison from Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion

Frank Lampard has a rather obvious assignment at Derby County. End the club’s long wait for Premier League football.
Once again, the Rams missed out on a return to the top flight last season they managed to turn a one goal advantage over Fulham in the Championship play-off semi finals into a 2-1 aggregate defeat.
But, quite fittingly, it seems that one of the most gifted central midfielders of his generation is keen to add some extra quality in his engine room.
Morrison, a hard-working midfielder capable of scoring goals from deep, would add some genuine Premier League quality and experience to Derby’s squad.

The Mirror then claimed that the East Midlands outfit are interested in signing Kasey Palmer on loan too with Lampard potentially taking advantage of his Chelsea connections – although it has been reported that the former England international still hasn’t made his mind up about Palmer.
The skilful 21-year-old helped Huddersfield Town win promotion in stunning style back in 2017 and, alongside Morrison, he could have a similar impact at Derby. A mix of creativity and energy could form a solid and effective partnership in the centre of the park and give The Rams the basis for another promotion bid.
Hopefully a successful one this time.
