Scottish Premiership giants Rangers have loaned Joe Dodoo to League One Blackpool for the 2018/19 season.

Joe Dodoo will be hoping his latest spell in League One goals better than the last one.
The 22-year-old managed just five substitute appearances on loan at Charlton Athletic in the first half of the 2017/18 season, scoring once, before The Addicks cancelled his stay midway through the campaign. But that did not put Blackpool off from taking a punt on Dodoo, who arrives from Scottish Premiership giants Rangers on a season-long loan, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
And Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer could hardly be happier with the deal.

“Joe is a fantastic signing for us and I would like to thank Rangers for allowing him to join for the season,” the former Blackburn Rovers boss told the club’s official website.
“He can play in a variety of positions across the front line and adds pace, power and goals to the side. We’re really excited to work with him.”
Dodoo has never really been given a prolonged chance in the Rangers first-team since he arrived on a free transfer from Leicester City in 2016 but clearly is a player with real potential.

But the harsh reality is that this spell at Bloomfield Road could be make or break for Dodoo. He cannot afford a repeat of that Charlton disaster.
