Celtic’s rampaging left-back has reportedly attracted attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
Celtic assistant boss Chris Davies has told the Daily Record that Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney can evolve into one of the world’s best, but how long will he remain at Parkhead.
The 19-year-old only made his first-team debut in April 2015 but quickly nailed down his positon on the left of Celtic’s back four, his pace and relentless overlaps making him a crucial part of the league champions’ game plan.
Tierney has continued to improve under the reign of Brendan Rodgers, displaying form that has attracted attention from Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, The Express reports.

And Davies believes the teenager will fulfil his immense potential, joining the likes of Jordi Alba and Marcelo as one of the world’s finest left-backs.
Understated star turned down Premier League; is it inevitable Celtic will sell?
“He makes mature decisions on the ball and knows what type of cross to play in. He has a good left foot, he can drill a ball in and he can shoot. He’s lots of qualities,” Davies told the Daily Record.
“The manager has worked with some top left-backs and we’ve watched others too. There are definite areas for KT to focus on but, hopefully, he can keep on developing and become a world-class player here.”

Nonetheless, Davies was also at pains to point out that Tierney’s allegiances lie very much with Celtic.
A die-hard Bhoys fanatic, his love of the green and white means he is far from certain to follow in the footsteps of Virgil Van Dijk, Gary Hooper and co. in swapping the Scottish Premiership for the glitz and glamour of the big league south of the border.

Although, if he does indeed rise to the top of the world game, there is a very real sense that he may well outgrow his roots.
