Alisson admitted to Sky Italia after losing to Inter Milan on Tuesday night that Liverpool are ‘not happy’ and must ‘do better’ in the later stages of this season’s Champions League.
The Nerazzurri edged a 1-0 result at Anfield during the second-leg of their last 16 meeting with Jurgen Klopp’s side. But the Reds sealed the quarter-final spot on offer on aggregate, after winning 2-0 at the San Siro last month through Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool had not lost at Anfield in 366-days before facing Inter Milan, with Fulham the last side to win away. Mario Lemina hit home on Merseyside to snatch victory for the Cottagers on March 7, 2021. The Reds won 21 and drew seven of their next 28 in all competitions.

Alisson was helpless to prevent Inter Milan beating Liverpool in the second-leg of their last 16 Champions League tie. Lautaro Martinez hit a sensational shot into the top corner from the edge of the box, as Virgil van Dijk shielded space rather than shutting the striker down.
Martinez’s effort proved insufficient in the end as the Reds held on against 10-men to book a final-eight spot. They will learn their opponent when UEFA conduct the quarter-final draw at their Switzerland headquarters on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 following next week’s ties.
Alisson admits Liverpool are ‘not happy’ and must ‘do better’ after Inter defeat
Alisson concedes Liverpool must improve on the display Klopp’s side produced against Inter Milan in their next fixtures if they want to keep progressing in the Champions League. The Brazilian also admits the Reds are disappointed after losing their unbeaten home run.
“We must recognise that Inter are a great team,” Alisson said, via TuttoMercatoWEB. “The players must be proud of what they did on the pitch. They left their lives on the pitch and tried to qualify.

“We are not happy with the defeat, but we must be happy with the qualification. It was a difficult match tonight, we knew it, we must try to do better in the next matches.”
