Jack Ross’s Sunderland will take on Burton Albion, Rochdale, Coventry City and Peterborough United in their next four matches.

Burton Albion vs Sunderland, September 15
Sunderland will be looking for redemption at the Pirelli Stadium against Burton this Saturday, after the hosts were the side that all but relegated the Black Cats last term. The game will be a tough one for Jack Ross’s men but, with the return of injured players to the Scot’s side, we are predicting a win for Sunderland, who have been good on the road this season.
Prediction: Burton 1-3 Sunderland
Sunderland vs Rochdale, September 22
Ross will be hoping to put an end to Sunderland’s back-to-back home games without a win against a struggling Rochdale side. The Wearside team will play Keith Hill’s side for the first time in their recent history and we are predicting class to prevail, with the hosts taking all three points at the Stadium of Light.
Prediction: Sunderland 3-0 Rochdale
Coventry City vs Sunderland, September 29
The Black Cats travel to the Ricoh Arena for the first time since 2007 at the end of September and Ross’s side are no doubt in for a tough game against a solid Coventry side. The game promises to be a tight one and we are predicting Sunderland to once again come from behind and pick up a point on the road, extending their unbeaten run.
Prediction: Coventry 1-1 Sunderland

Sunderland vs Peterborough United, October 2
Ross’s toughest task of the season will come against table-toppers Peterborough, who look like the biggest threat to Sunderland’s title hopes this term. Spearheading Posh’s good form has been formerly linked Scottish striker Jason Cummings, who will be looking to continue his good form.
A win for Sunderland would be huge, but we are anticipating a high-scoring match that ends in a draw.
Prediction: Sunderland 2-2 Peterborough
