Spartak Moscow will not let Alex Kral go on the cheap after the midfielder’s agent held talks over a move to the Premier League for the West Ham United target, director Anton Fetisov told Sport Express.
Seemingly inspired by the success of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal at the London Stadium, the Hammers are in hot pursuit of another Czech Republic international.
Kral, a tough-tackling, dynamic, poodle-haired central midfield player, starred alongside both Soucek and Coufal at Slavia Prague before moving to Moscow in 2019.
A reunion could now be on the cards too, with the 23-year-old’s agent admitting last week that talks are underway regarding a summer switch to the Premier League.
Kral could even be unveiled as a West Ham player before the European Championships kick off later this month, although Spartak will not let their 6ft 1ins enforcer go without a fight.
“Kral is very professional about his career. And, as a result, he became a backbone player for Spartak,” Fetisov said, highlighting the importance of a player who has blossomed into one of the finest midfielders in Russian football.

“The club will consider only a very advantageous offer for his possible transfer.”
The Mirror claimed last month (23 May, page 74) that £14 million will be enough to secure the services of Kral, a potential long-term replacement for Mark Noble at the London Stadium.
